Merima has been with us for 8 years, taking care of the children. It is difficult to convey how much she matters to them and to us. She knows how to talk to children, engage with children, comfort them but also guide them to respect the ‘rules’ of our family life that we as parents have set. Her approach towards children is always warm and constructive. I have never heard her raise her voice but in no way does she lack authority with them. Our kids trust her completely.
Meri has stepped in to help from the moment our eldest was 4 months old. Today the eldest is 8 and the youngest is 5. Meri with the help of her husband Resko collects them from school, brings them to extracurricular activities, takes care of them at home and sometimes even cooks dinner. She is super responsible assessing situations the children are in and communicates to us any feedback (on friends, school, tricky situations) she receives. She raises any issue that needs to be discussed in a timely and composed manner. I take Meri with me to the doctor and there have been many occasions where Mary has helped me and my local interlocutor communicate, not only in a language sense. She speaks excellent English and German. Lately, she has shown an amazing aptitude in fixing some of our kitchen appliances.
